It was a scene the Stade de France had witnessed just weeks earlier, but with roles now reversed. After clinching his gold medal for a thrilling performance in the men's 400m T62 final, American Para athlete Hunter Woodhall sought out his wife, Olympian Tara Davis-Woodhall, in the crowd to share in the celebration.
Back in early August, it was Hunter who had cheered on Tara as she secured gold in the women's long jump at the Olympics. Now, the pair have become known as the golden couple of Paris 2024. They recently sat down with the IPC to share their remarkable journey as married gold medallists.
